Server log files

The site runs on a rented server of Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus; the server is located in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main. For every request, the web server writes an access log: your IP address in shortened form only (for IPv4 the last number is replaced by 0, for IPv6 at most the first three blocks remain), time, page requested, status code, amount of data transferred, the page you came from, and your browser’s identifier. The logs are rotated daily and deleted automatically after 15 days. In the event of technical errors, the web server additionally writes an error log, which may also contain the full IP address; it is likewise deleted after 15 days. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and stable operation).

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply. Our email mailboxes run on Google Workspace. The provider is Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland; it processes the messages as a processor under Google’s data processing terms (Cloud Data Processing Addendum). Google may also process data in the USA. According to Google, such transfers are based on a certification of Google LLC under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the competent authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht).
